When Elissa’s mom reached out to me about photographing her daughters graduation portraits, I couldn’t contain my excitment! Grad sessions are truely one of my favorite types of shoots. These sessions are filled with hope, celebration, and a touch of nostalgia – perfect ingredents for stunning photographs.
We met at Sylvan Lake, at one of my favorite locations for grad sessions. In fact the lighting here is always perfect, creating an enchanting atmosphere that feels straight out of a fairy tale. You might recognize this spot from my previous sessions; it never fails to impress.
As we walked along the trail, Elissa’s beautiful dress flowed effortlessly, enhancing the dreamy backdrop. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love my job so much. Each grad session feels unique, yet they all share a magical quality.
Speaking of magic I couldn’t resist throwing in a few movie qoutes durring or shoot (something you will find me doing at most sessions.) It’s a habbit of mine, but I know i’m getting older when some references go over people’s heads! Thankfully, Elissa was quick on the uptake and appreciated my attempts at humor, which made the session even more enjoyable.
Overall, our session was filled with smiles and laughter. Therefore I felt grateful for the chance to capture such a special milestone in Elissa’s life. Here’s to new beginnings and the exciting journey ahead.
