Capturing Friendship and Love: Ally’s Smoky Evening at Sylvan Lake
As a dedicated photographer based in Red Deer, Alberta, I recently had the privilege of photographing Ally. She was joined by her seven closest friends and her boyfriend on a smoky evening in late May 2023 for a Sylvan Lake Grad Session. We met at one of my favorite walking paths, where the light is always golden and dreamy. Thus, this location provided the perfect backdrop for our photoshoot.
A Golden Hour Filled with Joy and Laughter
Despite the smoky atmosphere, the evening was filled with joy and laughter. Initially, we began our session on the picturesque walking path at Sylvan Lake. There, I captured the close bond between Ally and her friends. Moreover, the golden light filtered through the haze, adding a magical touch to every photograph.
Exploring the Lakefront
After completing the group shots, we decided to move to the lakefront to focus on Ally and her boyfriend. The serene waters and soft light created a romantic setting for their portraits. Even with the smoke and sand in our shoes, the session remained beautiful. In fact, it truly highlighted their love and connection.
